Tip of the Week 8

Water clarity is extremely important when considering lure selection. In clear water, you want to use more natural colors that are quiet because loud rattles and vibrations can scare fish in clear water. Along with this, you want a slower, more natural fall rate in clear water, so the fish have a longer time to get a look at the bait. On the contrary, you want to use bright colors that make a lot of noise and vibrations in muddy water, so that you can attract fish from long distances without them being able to get a good look at the lure.
