Tip of the Week 6

When looking for bass there are a lot of factors to consider, but the ones that I recommend you focus on the most are temperature, structure, and depth. In any lake that you go to you need to start out by finding structure. This includes drop offs, submerged rocks, pilings, etc. My favorite type of structure to fish is docks because they provide a large amount of shade and the posts holding the docks up function as pilings, so it gives you the benefits of two pieces of structure. As for temperature and depth, you need to match the depth that you are fishing with the temperature of the water. A general rule for this is the warmer the water, the deeper that you have to fish. Given all of these tips, if you fish docks that are in the depth that matches the temperature, you will be sure to put more bass in your boat!
