I got out to Lake Sammamish around 6:00 p.m., but unfortunately I was running low on my favorite drop shot worms, so I knew I was going to have to mix it up today. I decided to go with the Baby Bass color for a few and headed over to the docks on the 2nd point of the right side. On my very first cast, I was able to hook into a 0.5 pound smallmouth. On my second cast, I got another 0.5 pound smallmouth. On my third cast, I caught yet another 0.5 pound smallmouth. At this point I was amazed because that is the fastest that I had ever caught them, so I knew that it was going to be a good fishing day. I didn’t get anymore bites on the first dock, so I moved to the one next to it and on my first cast there I was able to land a nice 1 pound smallmouth. I then moved over to the next one and caught another 1 pound bass. At this point I had 5 bass in less than 5 minutes, which was absolutely ridiculous, but with all my success I ran out of my baby bass Roboworms and was forced to use Aaron’s magic Roboworms instead. I kept working the docks, but couldn’t get anything else for anther 10 minutes. I stayed persistent though and kept working the docks around the point. Eventually, I was able to land a nice 1.5 pound smallmouth. This was quickly followed by another small 0.5 pound bass. It went quiet for about 3o minutes, but then I was able to land a nice 2 lb bass, which was nice. Except for the small 0.5 pounder, the bass were steadily getting bigger as the day progressed. By this time it was about 7:15 and I decided to move to the docks on the other side of the point. On my first cast, I was able to hook into another nice 2 lb bass. Then it went quiet, so I decided to move over to the v-shaped dock a little farther down. On my second cast there I hooked into an absolute monster bass and after weighing it, it turned out to be my new record for Lake Sammamish, 3.75 pounds. I then tried those docks for a few more minutes, but then decided to move over to the docks by the 3rd point. On my 5th cast over there, I got it really close to the dock and hooked into another giant. This one weighed in at 3.25 pounds. I tried for a little bit more, but by this time it had gotten really dark, so I headed in and called it a day.

Observations: The water was about 76-79 degrees today, which was about 1 degree colder than what I fished in yesterday, but the fish seemed to be deeper than yesterday, which was a bit odd. I caught mine on docks around points in about 15-18 feet of water. Along with this, the docks that I were fishing didn’t have a shade cover, which might have contributed to the bass being deeper today. As always, they were still close to the docks, but weren’t hugging them as normal.
